The actor/singer recently <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/ricky_martin/status/155141894333140993" target="_blank">tweeted</a> a joyful picture from his first day on set.</P><P>As to how the King of Pop's prolific songbook will manifest itself in the January 31 tribute episode, Colfer explained, "Well, I sing part of 'Black [or] White.' I'm the 'White' in 'Black [or] White,' and I sing 'Ben,' that famous song he wrote for the rat."</P><P>The rodent in question is the pet of a young boy named Danny in the 1972 film "Ben." Jackson sang a version of the theme song that appeared in the movie's closing credits and was later included on his 1972 album also named <em>Ben</em>. <P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/spears_britney/artist.jhtml">Britney Spears</a> is busy traveling the U.S. in search of singers who have "The X Factor," but one rejected contestant (and former Spears backup singer) isn't handling his dismissal from the show all that well, releasing a previously unheard Spears demo and hitting out at the singer on Facebook.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Britney Spears Explains Why She Wanted To Be A Part Of 'X Factor'" id="vid:769620" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Singer Don Philip <a href="http://www.entertainmentwise.com/news/80415/LISTEN-Britney-Spears-Teams-Up-With-X-Factor-Reject-On-Leaked-Track-" target="_blank">released the track</a>, originally titled "Pleasure You," on Wednesday on his SoundCloud. The singer — who duetted with Spears on the ballad "I Will Still Love You" off her debut album, <i>… Baby One More Time</i> — also appears on "Pleasure You." <a href="http://www.digitalspy.com/music/s141/the-x-factor-us/news/a391696/britney-spears-song-featuring-x-factor-usa-reject-emerges-listen.html" target="_blank">Digital Spy</a> reports that the dance track is believed to be from a 2010 studio session for Spears' most recent album, the well-received <i>Femme Fatale.</i></P><P>Philip recently had an <a href="/news/articles/1687704/britney-spears-x-factor-partner-reunion.jhtml">emotional reunion with Spears</a> while auditioning for "X Factor" in San Francisco. The pop star reportedly recognized her former collaborator immediately and became emotional when Philip began crying onstage after what he has himself since admitted was a weak audition. She remained professional, however, and sided with her fellow judges in removing Philip from the competition.</P><P>He later took to <a href="http://www.wenn.com/all-news/x-factor-reject-takes-aim-at-former-duet-partner-britney-spears/" target="_blank">his Facebook</a> to explain why his audition went so poorly, and he also took a shot at Spears in the process. "Back to real life … all my demons released … I totally crocked when the pressure was on … at least I didn't shave my head," he wrote. "My vocal [cords] tightened up like a snake around a mouse."</P><P>It is unclear whether Philip's vocal originally appeared on the "Pleasure You" demo or whether it was added later without Spears' knowledge.</P><P>The pop star has reportedly settled into her role as judge on "The X Factor" quite nicely. Talking to a paparazzi cameraman in Los Angeles in June, <a href="/news/articles/1687468/britney-spears-simon-cowell-x-factor-judge.jhtml">Simon Cowell said of Spears</a>, "She's been amazing. She's really taking time to learn how to do this. She's got her confidence up. Once people give her a chance, I think people are really going to get her. It will be a big surprise. She's a tough judge."</P><P>"The X Factor" returns to Fox on September 12.</p>

Frank Ocean’s album Channel Orange will not be sold at Target stores, but the retailer says it’s not because of his recent announcement that he is bisexual.

The record has received plenty of praise since debuting early in digital form, and hitting No. 1 on iTunes in 10 countries … and Target says that’s the issue.

The retailer cited the album’s early iTunes release as the reason behind its controversial decision to yank the rapper’s album, not Frank Ocean coming out.

Target denies pulling it due to Ocean’s sexuality, saying: “The claims made about Target’s decision to not carry the Frank Ocean album are absolutely false.”

“Target supports inclusivity and diversity in every aspect of our business. Our decisions are based on a wide number of factors, including guest demand.”

The Target rep continued: “Target has a longstanding tradition of supporting music and artistry that reflects the diverse landscape of American culture.”

Ocean – who has been praised by Beyonce and Russell Simmons, yet criticized by others since coming out – and his camp seemed to accept that reasoning.

His manager Christian Clancy backtracked on a now deleted tweet suggesting the retailer had other motivations for pulling the record, tweeting:

“I would like to apologize for my comments about Target. They are not carrying Franks album because it went digital first. Not for ANY other reason.”

As for Ocean, he offered his own analysis and tweeted “album won’t be available at target. blame it on a generational gap. best buy on deck though.”

After <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> tapped Sean to ride alongside him on <a href="/news/articles/1687112/justin-bieber-big-sean-as-long-as-you-love-me.jhtml">"As Long as You Love Me,"</a> the new single from <i>Believe,</i> the G.O.O.D. Music rapper <a href="/news/articles/1688735/justin-bieber-big-sean-gift.jhtml">gifted</a> JB with a pretty cool piece of bling as a token of gratitude.</P><P>"After he put me on his album and introduced me to a lot of his fans, I felt like, 'Yo, man, just to show my appreciation,' I gave him the Rolex ring," Sean explained to MTV News on Saturday at a party for his manager, Kevin Liles. "It ain't no thing; it's really what bosses do — we give each other gifts.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Big Sean Gives Justin Bieber A Ring" id="vid:810991" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"It was the first ring I bought as soon as I started finally making money," Sean continued. And Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, was on hand to witness the exchange. Last month, Braun recalled the conversation between Sean and Justin to MTV News: "[Big Sean] said, 'I know you said you liked [my ring], and I want to say thank you for involving me in the process and being a part of this, and I want you to have the ring.' And he took it off, and Justin put it on and it was a real genuine moment. They're friends."</P><P>For the "Dance (A$$)" rapper, working with Bieber also allowed him to display his versatility. And although he's known for some pretty suggestive raps, Sean was able to lay a fitting verse on the Darkchild-produced pop hit.</P><P>"It's tight that I can be a person that's so diverse that I can do both of those [kinds of songs] and it's not reaching," he <a href="/news/articles/1687783/justin-bieber-big-sean-true-g.jhtml">told</a> us. "I'm still me … and I didn't compromise anything for Bieber. You know, I just didn't curse, which is easy. Be warned, future X Factor hopefuls: Demi Lovato means business. Especially when it comes to drugs.

The new judge – whose history with substance abuse is well-known – reportedly stopped a couple of contestants in their rapping tracks this week because their lyrics included references to “bath salts,” a synthetic powder that has been compared to cocaine and crystal meth – and was even rumored to be responsible for zombie attacks in Miami earlier this year.

Said an E! News source of the Greensboro audition:

“She wasn’t having any of it. She said ‘It’s really irresponsible to be rapping about drugs in front of kids.’ Then they tried to make excuses and Demi said, ‘You talked about bath salts, I heard you.’”

Lovato ordered the young rappers to exit the stage, the insider added, and the “rest of the judges completely backed her.”

Between this example, and reports that Britney Spears recently walked off the X Factor set because a drag queen tried to pay tribute to her with a rendition of “(You Drive Me) Crazy,” there’s little doubt:

<P>A photo of the bottle for <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga</a>'s first-ever fragrance, Fame, leaked on Wednesday, but rather than lash out at excited fashion editors and bloggers for putting the design out there ahead of schedule, Mother Monster took to her <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/ladygaga" target="_blank">Twitter</a> to open up a bit about the perfume.</P><P>"Looks like photos of my perfume are being leaked. Oh you fashion editors I could just crinkle my hands at you!" she wrote, before posting her own photo of the bottle. The container is deep purple/black with a gold, spiked top. (How very Mother Monster!) The front of the box indicates that it is a "black fluid."</P><P>Gaga then tweeted the back of the box, which describes what all her Little Monsters will smell like when they wear it. Gaga originally signed a fragrance deal with Coty Inc. in September 2010, and rumor had it that it would be called <a href="/news/articles/1649689/lady-gagas-perfume-be-called-monster.jhtml">Monster</a>. Stephen Mormoris, senior vice president of global marketing in the Coty Beauty division, said at the time that they wanted to work with Gaga because she is a "phenomenon" and "a fascinating cultural force" and he hoped her mass appeal would "electrify" the market on behalf of his company.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Lady Gaga: Inside The Outside" id="id:1664719" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>In early 2011, months after the <a href="/news/articles/1647864/lady-gaga-inks-perfume-deal.jhtml">deal was announced</a>, Gaga had a very colorful description for the perfume, noting that it would smell "like an expensive hooker." "[Blood and semen] is in the perfume but it doesn't smell like it," she told an <a href="http://www.styleite.com/beauty/gaga-perfume-blood-semen-interview/" target="_blank">Australian radio station</a> at the time. "You just get sort of the after feeling of sex from the semen and the blood is sort of primal. And the blood was taken from my own blood sample so it's like a sense of having me on your skin."</P><P>The fragrance will hit shelves in September, just in time for her next turn as a <i>Vogue</i> cover girl, <a href="http://style.mtv.com/2012/06/12/lady-gaga-september-vogue/">MTV Style</a> reports. September is shaping up to be a big month for the singer as she will also announce the name of her <a href="/news/articles/1686922/lady-gaga-new-album-title.jhtml">next album</a> then.
